Eat locally grown
At the event entrance outside Pavilion 5, visitors will be able to discover the world of gardens. The space, held in the occasion of the launch of the Manuale degli Orti (Garden Handbook), the area will be displaying local, seasonal plant varieties and aromatic herbs.
The garden area will be equipped with demonstrative examples such as a seedbed, the symbol of the immense variety of seeds and richness of biodiversity; compost, a useful element for recycling and avoiding waste; and finally a vertical garden, an example of the million possible ways to create a balcony garden in any home.
Slow Food will present its school gardens projects and the most ambitious project for this edition: 1000 Gardens in Africa.
