To celebrate biodiversity, the abundance of our planet, and to explore the Ark of Taste, a project conceived to catalog foods that are at risk of extinction. Together with the UN and the 2014 International Year of Farming, we hope to strengthen farming communities and family-oriented agriculture.
1000 exhibitors from 130 countries, including over 300 Slow Food Presidia, will present their unique products. Chefs, farmers, fishers, academics, artisans, representatives from the worlds of wine and gastronomy, and the Terra Madre food communities.
An international marketplace, a food education area with activities for families and young visitors, Taste Workshops, an Italian Cooking School and a packed program of conferences for in-depth discussions on subjects like family farming, food sovereignty, justice and waste.
The Enoteca, dedicated not only to exploring the pleasures of wine, but also to the terroir and community behind each bottle; an international kitchen run by chefs from the Terra Madre network; an Osteria where you can discover various Slow Food Presidia, and the Street Food stalls, where you can taste Italian cuisine like never before.
